Monterey Bay Sailing has provided private scattering of
ashes ceremonies for Monterey Peninsula families since 1999.
Friends and relatives take comfort departing from their
loved ones in the peace and tranquility that only the sea
can provide. Our yacht gently flies across the Bay in silence,
comfort, and safety. The beauty of the diverse marine life
enriches the funeral rite with a profound serenity giving
a very spiritual dimension of closure that the bereaved
are seeking.
We charter from Monterey Harbor for individuals or groups.
Our vessels are captained and crewed by U.S. Coast Guard licensed
professionals who are compassionately attentive to our  passengers.
We are also licensed by The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary
to scatter ashes. A parting on the ocean brings a power greater
than ourselves to the occasion, that is incomparably profound.
